” It’s taken a while to get the Hayate set up well but so far (about 15 hrs) I’m impressed. I hear a lot of fine, “micro” detail (long decays!), but the cart is very well balanced so it doesn’t hit you over the head. Also it really needs to be set up properly, so the more dialed in it gets, the more it shows its potential. At first, things were all over the place and I thought the cart might be broken. But I’m still fine tuning the loading with audible differences in small changes (Bent Audio silver wound Mu SUT). To my ears the Hayate is very relaxed, transparent and balanced and also full of “wow” moments – it was only edgy or “modern” sounding at the beginning when I didn’t have the set-up right”.

Have heard wonderful things about this cartridge, supposed to compete with 10k and above cartridges. It is on my short list to hear.
