The Project V1 Series represent the pinnacle of Furutech’s engineering efforts in high-end audio cabling and power cords. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Furutech produces an expansive variety of products and accessories that include power distributors, receptacles, bulk cables, and phono and disc treatments. But for audiophiles it’s Furutech’s line of cable and power cords, including the flagship Project V1, the subject of this review, that is of paramount interest.

Silence and Detail Retrieval

What impressed most about Furutech’s Project V1 was defined by what wasn’t there—no haze, congestion, or edginess.

Backgrounds were silent, yet alive with ambient detail. The sense of space, hall acoustics, and atmospheric pressure remained intact. This “quiet” wasn’t emptiness—it was presence.

Final Thoughts

No mincing words here—Furutech’s Project V1 Series cables and power cords are exceptional, albeit expensive.

While it’s tempting to call them the best cables available, system synergy and limited exposure to competing ultra-premium options make such a claim difficult.

Still, even with that caveat, Project V1 stands as a remarkable achievement. For many audiophiles, it could represent the final destination in their cable journey.
